Happy New Year Nemes,
That is an excellent composition. I like the details on the wasp and the soft colors on the leaf and BG. Great POV and sharp details. Well done and TFS. Siggi

Salut Nemes!

Very nice macro of wasp imitating hoverfly. Lots of sunlight and bright colours, well detailed insect, good composition. I think there is also caddis-fly on BG. Good work!

Hi Nemes

A lovely capture of this hoverfly cum wane-bee wasp.
It seems like another species is hiding in the BG.
Great details, beautiful colours and excellent light.
I hope to encourage you to provide some notes to your postings in the new year.
It compliments and makes for a more complete contribution to the site.

My best wishes to you and your loved ones for a fabulous 2009.

Well done and TFS

Hello Nemes,
great close up, very sharp and beautifull color and light,
wish to you all the best for the new year,

Beautiful Composition with this deceiving fly, it only has 2 wings belonging to the diptera, and your picture with great detail also allow us to see the moth aparatus that also is characteristic of diptera. Some flies mimic wasp patterns to avoid predation, but are infact completly harmless.

Great detail and lovely composition.

Hello Nemes,
Wonderful macro image of this wasp, the colors and details are stunning. Great work Nemes, thank you.

Hello Nemes

A very well illuminated capture of this wasp.
The colours are vivid and well saturated.
Excellent sharpness and detail.
The POV and DOF are well done.
The tiny florets are a lovely setting for this shot.
Well done.

Hello Nemes!
You are right, this fly try to "be a wasp" :) I do not know the name of your species, but I am sure - this is a member of Syrphidae family. Nice capture of the insect during its dinner :)

PS. By the way, two other species from this family (one photographed in Romania ;>) were presented by me here and here - if you like, plese feel free to compare them with your species :)
