[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another attempt of shooting insects, precislly, dragonflies.
I was ceasing them , in fact waiting to stay still for more than some seconds, but no way!
I don't know the species, so, I need some help for identification

Unknown became known thanks to Razvan: is a female (this I was almost sure) of Crocothemis erythraea, scarlet dragonfly.

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Odonata
Suborder: Epiprocta
Infraorder: Anisoptera
Family: Libellulidae
Genus: Crocothemis
Species: C. erythraea

The Scarlet Darter (or Broad Scarlet) is a strikingly coloured European dragonfly originating from Africa that has recently been recorded as an occasional visitor to the UK. If the British climate continues to warm up this species is a candidate for possible future colonisation. These photographs were taken in the Dordogne and in southern France. The dragonflies are generally very active in warm weather and quite difficult to approach. The females and teneral males (as shown in the last two photographs) are much more subdued in colour than their fully adult male counterparts and therefore harder to find. The legs are orange without any black markings and this feature and the broad abdomen should enable observers to identify this species relatively easily when making a comparison with the other predominantly red darter dragonflies. The second photograph was taken using natural light. (http://www.david.element.ukgateway.net/dragonflies25scarletdarters1.htm)

Oana
Din nefericire si eu sunt putin depasit la acest capitol, insa stiu sa remarc o captura buna!
Imi place libelula ta si sper sa ma documentez in cel mai scurt timp.

Hello Oana,
I don't know the ID but maybe this link could help you. Of course our specialists TN friends would be able to help you...
Great POV and composition. In fact I'd like to see a little bit more focus in the subject, but as you already told in your note, it was impossible...
Congrats and see you,
Francisco

Buna Oana
Cred ca e vorba de o femela de Crocothemis erythraea (Scarlet Dragonfly), nu-i cunosc denumirea in romana.
O seara linistita

Dear Oana!

You probably know that I'm not a specialist of insects. So I can't help you with the ID, but I'm sure that sooner or later a TN-member will help you. What about calling this insect meanwhile "Beauty"? She is, and you have put her well on stage!

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Oana. They always seem to move when i get very close to them. I thought it was just me. I am goingto give it a good try this year. You were able to get a good side view with good detail and natural colours. well taken TFS.
Nick

Have a good Sunday.

Hi Oana.

Very sharp close framing of this dragonfly. The natural tone is so pleasing looking like a paler version of our amberwings.

You have worked beautifully with your lens in keeping the DoF shallow and focus is pristine.

Well done and TFS.
Regards,
Jusni

Seara buna Oana,
