[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A quite large fungi family, formerly known as Amanitaceae, now changed to Pluteaceae, containing very interesting mushrooms, including the infamous Amanita phalloides - The death cap, and also the much culinary apreciated Amanita caesarea. Here are six of its members, some of them better known by people, others not so.

1. Pluteus leoninus - small sized, nice golden colour, growing, like all Pluteus genera on dead or alive wood. Not edible.
2. Amanita excelsa - edible and good, but easily mistaken with some nasty poisonous similar species.
3. Pluteus roemellii - small, velvety brownish, yelow cap. Not edible.
4. Pluteus umbrosus - also small, not edible.
5. Amanita crocea - without anulus.(Vaginatae section). Edible and quite easy to recognize.
6. Pluteus curtisii - growing on Salix or Populus. Mildly poisonous.

Hope you enjoy this combo !

Hi Petru,
very nice collage of the fungi of your home. Thanks for showing.

Hi Petru,
Great compilation, although taxonomically the note's already outdated (Amanita genus doesn't belong into the Pluteacfeae family anymore, for example). But the image itself is a colorful collage compiled with care. Congrats and tfs.
Have a prosperous 2013, best regards, László
