Romanian orchids from Rapa Rosie region, know from my photo of water eroded forms. When we were climbing high to eroded pyramids, I was taking photos of many flowers and insects around. One of most beautifull were of course mountain orchids. I don't know exact ID unfortunatelly :-(

Our trip to Romania was very successful not only of nice places and views. It was time of learning many very intersting things. Most of participators are working at University of Lodz in Geography, Biology or Geology departaments, so they were telling many interesting stories about nature, plants, animal, mountains, rocks and so on!

Beautiful colour Greg. Very good sharp details. I can see some pollen on the petals of the top flower. Just perfect. Thanks.

Good morning Greg,
A very nice capture of these flowers.
Lovely sharp detail and textures, great colours and DOF.
Nice work,well done.

Hi Greg - very beautifull flower and good composition with the diagonal line and the position of the flowers, may a little mor space in the bottom would be nice. Colours look very good and the dof is spot on.

Olá Greg, just beautiful! I'd love to come across wild plants growing just like this. They look so different from the normal orchids, so pretty and colourful. Good job!
And I bet you enjoyed all the talks with the 'heavies' from the Uni. You must have learnt a lot too.

Nice purple colour&good DOF,portrait mode works well here.

Great shot Greg!
Beautiful colours, superb composition and details.

The flower is, no doubt, very beautiful, but it's not orchid - they usually have very characteristic flowers and this one looks quite usuall. I'm quite sure this beauty is called Verbascum Phoeniceum and it can be found in POland as well.
I hope this will be usefull.

Nice shot Greg,
Wonderful colours, nicely exposed. Good sharp detail and DOF.
Thanks for posting

Ładne kwiaty, Grzegorzu, może nadałyby się na moją działkę a w Rumunii rosną dziko w górach. Dobra ostrość, kolory i kompo.
Pozdr. Al.

Not typical Orchids? I would never recognise them as such, but I am useless at plant ID. Good shot Greg, I like the colours and the DOF is super. Thanks for sharing.

How's your Grandma?

Well done.

Its a species of Verbascum. Its very unique since most Verbascums are yellow. Ori
