[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little bird stayed on the reed and singing some beautiful trills. I think it was searching for a mate. When I first approach, it hidden rapidly on the base of the reed, but after a ~5 minutes of waiting it was coming again at the top of the reed and start singing again. However even I have some shoots with the bird singing this one is my favorite.
Why ? Because of the beautiful gradient background which is kind of unique in all my images.
On the field I was not even aware because the moment last a small amount of time. Also the bird keep climb to top and I was also lift-up trying to keep my camera to the bird eye level, so the background is very different in the other pictures.
The green color from the base it's reed. The white color over the green is the atmospheric haze of the horizon line. The light blue over the white is the sky, then white is comming again (a cloud), then powerful blue (cyan) of the clear sky.

The subject is sharp and true all set against a most important background which is gradiated very nicely with blue, white and green hues...The f8 used worked well seperating the subject and bg.

Wow, this picture is truly GORGEOUS !!! I love it ! As you say, the BG is quite unique, and so pleasant to watch - nicely blurred, soft colors... The composition is splendid, too, with the reed making a nice diagonal, and the pose of the bird as well as the details are excellent. Very well done !

Frunza de stuf da un farmec aparte. Pacat ca fortezi sharpul (cam in toate pozele tale) ce-mi da senzatia de artificial.
