Hi again,

Another photo from my trip to the mountains :)
As i was shooting the sun rising, i noticed that the valley towards north-east was covered by a thick layer of mist and that immediately sparked my interest.
It also reminded me of a film i rather liked - the 13th Warrior. I was always passionate about medieval legends and stories and that's probably why i liked that filmed. In the movie, the Wendol (the foe) attacked at dusk, as the mist started forming and they came with hundreds of torches creating a fireworm or fire-serpent (as described in the film), hence the title :)

Hope you'll like it and thanks for visiting :)

Hello Horia,
This is a fantastic view across the mountains with the valleys covered in mist. The light and colours are so beautiful and there's an excellent depth of focus. Very nicely composed too.
TFS and all the best wishes, Ulla

I love the feel and the muted colors in this shot, Horia.
Amazing to see the mist settle down along the valley,
Creating that serpent shape.
A very special landscape.
TFS : )

Buna Horia,
O imagine excelenta cum rar iti este dat sa vezi si o apreciez in mod deosebit pentru ca sunt un pasionat de munte si vad ca ai carat si trepiedul cu tine. Felicitari!

I can almost take a breath of fresh morning mountain air Horia!
This is a fine early morning capture, the mist making the valley look like a mythical creature. The delicate pink tones of the sunrise contrast nicely with the dark FG of the mountain slopes.
This is a superb bit of landscape photography, which though I don't take many myself I can appreciate, especially when it is full of atmosphere like this one.
Thanks and all the best my friend,

Hallo Horia
The mist and layered mountains in the scene makes this image very mysterious and the atmosphere hits you right between the eyes. It is a very nice, almost dramatic and impressive. The shapes of the mountain is very imposing, and the landscape is wonderful to look at. The colours in the image is truly stunning. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Buna Horia,
Nu pot sa nu remarc frumusetea acestui peisaj de vis desprins parca din filme.
O captura de milioane cu detalii foarte bune si culori superbe.

Hello Horia!

Bihor with its mountains full of old castles is perfect place to seek medieval legends.. Great photo with serpents of mist ready to attack. Beautifull, delicate colours and perspective. Superb place for enjoing sunrise my friend!

Dear Horia,

A masterwork depicting early morning mist.

I am too lazy to climb a mountain and photograph (as you did - with a tripod - at 05:54), but I stayed 5 days on the Gornergrat in the Valais (above Zermat, Switzerland) at 3,135 m the highest hotel in Europe and appreciate the wonder you must have felt at the mystical atmosphere!

At what time does the sun rise in this part of the world?

Your work is very clever by forcing the viewer to follow the v-shaped valleys to the horizon and finally up into the sky, where the first pink clouds are promising a sunrise to come.

Bravo maestro.

Enjoy your Sunday and have a nice week
Warm greetings

Salut Horia
Is cam in urma pe aici, si banuiesc ca ratez multe fotografii super. Insa pe asta nu vreao sa o trec cu vederea. Este un peisaj foarte frumos, cum mai rar vezi ( putin se trezesc dimineata pentru un rasarit). Superb, ce sa mai zic!
Toate cele bune

Hi Horia,
I love these layered mountain landscapes bathing in an early sun. It gives a photo such a great feel of depth and allows for a continues look into the landscape. Yours is a real stunner, with wonderful warm light in the distance and still a good deal of cooler light in the FG. The morning fog in the valley certain gave the photo that bit of extra.
