[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello to all TN friends,
it's been a long time since my last post.

But that does not mean that I gave up photographing butterflies, on the contrary, this year was very fulfilled with goings on interesting expeditions all around Serbia and rich with the findings of rare species.

As a member of several expeditions I have managed to record 150 spicies of day butterflies in 2014.

But the major success was finding of a new spicies of butterfly for Serbia, Pyrgus cinarae !!! The list of butterfly species recorded in Serbia increased to a total of 199.

Many thanks to Milos Popovic, Milan Djuric and Djordje Radevski .

Hello Miroslav - No doubt an excellent register after a long gap. Nice to hear that you were able to find out different kinds of Day Butterfly. And here is the "Sandy Grizzled Skipper"- a 'major success'. I like the way you have placed the Skipper just heart of the frame. Excellent details and sharpness, with splendid view of eyes. Well managed BG too. Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes

Great shot, Miroslav. Excellent focus and lighting.
Neat framing indeed.

Hi Miro,
First of all congratulations for finding a new species in Serbia. And the close up is truly beautiful, with nice classical composition, great sharpness and spectacular open-wing pose. f/8 was a good choice for aperture, too, and resulted a nice shallow depth of field. Probably the colors got a slight blue overcast, but a good photo overall. Have a happy new year - and we're waiting for your return to TN.
Best regards, László
