Well done Radomir,
Hi Radomir. what a strange looking bug you have here. fantastic detail and colour. you have captured it with sharp focusing. well done TFS. good notes too.
Or should I call you Dr. Jaskula now? If so congratulations!
You depict a superb Cicindela species that is new to me as it is not found in Sweden. Nicely shown with good sharpness where necessary. I am very fond of your Tiger Beetle shots!
Thanks for showing this one and enjoy your weekend,
another great post with exceptional detail and clarity. The setting of fine, loose stone is great and those hairy legs are brilliant.
Congratulations on finishing the PhD too, i'm sure all your hard work will pay off in the years to come.

Your tiger beetles have always been a fascinating subject and made wonderful subjects for this typs pf photography.
The details on this one here are impeccable - very sharp and clear, with a lot of attention to texture.
The colors and contrast here are very nic, too and enhanced by the very exact metering and exposure parameters.

You have captured an amazing level of detail and the colours work really effectively. He's a rather odd looking chap, although he's been beautifully photographed.

Mi mas sincera felicitación, por el título alcanzado. La dedicatoria seguro que bien merecida. La foto excelente con gran definición y detalles de este curioso escarabajo, gracias por compartirlo, saludos
Hi, dear Radomir.
How well I understand you. I remember all details of my two dissertations very well despite the passed time and remember my feelings after the defenses. My great congratulations. Be the way, when I worked on my first Candidate theses I had no time for anything including photography (only family (two little sons) and work. You have dome significantly more. Bravo.
Perfect little cicindela :- ))). Amazing shot. Crisp details and great DOF. Excellent flash light and framing. My best wishes and TFS.

A splendid capture of this curious cicindela, as all the others! Magnificent sharpness, POV and DOF. I like this one even more than the formers, and the note is very interesting too.
I'm looking forward for the 6th part.
Congratulations and TFS

At first congratulations for your PhD. You must be happy to have finished (I never finished mine)
I have discovered the cicindelas with your pictures on TN. And since I have seen many of them. But to take a picture, it is quite a problem! You must be quicker than these rapid beetles. So I have to congratulate a second time for this beautiful and sharp picture of a female.
Merci et bonne journée
selam radomir ; excellent macro shot and very good composition of this interesting insect .nice pov with splendid colours.well presented pose
Well done my friend!
Loved your notes and explanation re: your non TN member friend.
Loved your notes, by the way.
Great photography work.
First of all CONGRATULATIONS on completing your PhD. Must be great feeling.
Wonderful shot of this beetle, very sharp and colourful. They really do come in many varieties and atleast I have not seen one which doesn't look beautiful. I like the natural surrounding here and the pose captured. Excellent POV and Very nicely composed. Kudos.

after looking at the drab coloured thumbnail, the gloomingly lustrous colours of head and thorax come as an excitingly colurful surpice. Precise details, perfect handling of soft backlight, a perfectly placed focus. I love the very clearly pictured furry legs. A wonderfully close approach, performed with much deliberation and skill, a high quality result definitely not easy to achieve from such a quick moving, highly volatile and wary target.
Great work. Thank you! With best regards,

These are really amazing beetles, very fast, but you capture them with fantastic details, sharpness and clarity, and that is not easy work!
great pose and POV in this pic,
