[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Lesser Fiery Copper (Lycaena thersamon) is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family.
It is found from Eastern Europe, Italy and South-East Europe to Mongolia and North-Western China.
The wingspan is 14-16 mm. The butterfly flies from April to October depending on the location.
Not so common here in Serbia, but can be found on the feeder plants along with other Lycaenidae ! It is not unusual to find Lycaena thersamon at the same plant with Lycaena phlaeas and Lycaena tityrus ! |
