[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken using 75-300mm lens. I had to use 300mm without any tripod (I don't have it in mountains). So I know, that technically it's not perfect, but I would like to show you a documentary shot of rupicapras climbing. Incredible!
This photo was taken on Wednesday, during our trek through Slovakian Tatras. It was quite long trek. It took us about 8,5 hours. The weather was changing. In the beginning quite blue sky, in the end fog and clouds. Fortunatelly it wasn't raining.
We started from Tatrzanska Lomnica (about 900m), went through Skalnata Chata, Skalnate Pleso (1750m), Sedlo pod Svistovkou (2030m), Velka Svistovka (2038m), Velke Cerne Pleso, Zelene Pleso (1541m), Chata pri Zelonom Plese, Trojuholnikove Pleso, Biele Pleso (1613m), Predne Kopske Sedlo (1778m), Kopske Sedlo (1750m), Vysne Kopske Sedlo (1933m), Siroke Sedlo (1826m), Ptasiowska Rowienka, Zdziar. Pleso = lake, sedlo = pass.
Thanks for visiting.

Hi Maciek
A very interesting image. You are very fortunate to be able to trek like that, tripod or not. Am am jealous because at 70+ and having had two hip replacements last year trekking is no longer an option for me although I love going on game drives and short walks.

Hello Maciej,
Remarkable photo with exceptional clarity and details. This interesting species are very rarely seen, they are very shy.....but you capture a excellent image with lovely light and best clarity. What excellent climbers they are....

Hi Maciej,a new lucky meeting and a great capture, the composition is very very nice and original, beautiful details and colors too despite the distance.Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Hi Maciej,
Technically this photo might not be perfect, but you were there and you have seen what I wish to see! Good clarity/detail and colours against the rock face. I have always found it amazing how these animals can live on the "edge", similar to our South African "Klip Springer" (Oreotragus oreotragus). As one of our members wrote in his notes and I quote "They stand on the tips of their hooves and can fit all four hooves on a piece of cliff the size of a Canadian dollar coin". What balance?? Incredible my friend!!
Best regards,
Carl
