This photo was taken on Friday 16th of August, during our trek to Triglav, the highest peak of Julian Alps. It's located in Slovenia. You can see Grossglockner 3798m the highest peak of Austria. The photo was taken from Mali Triglav (2725). It's about 120 km straight.
About our trek.
We left Krakow (Poland) at 1.30 on Thursday. We reached Aljazev Dom (1002m) in Vrata Valley in Slovenia about 12.30. Then we started our trek. About 18.30 we reached Triglavski Dom na Kredarici (2515) where we have slept. On Friday we woke up at 5.00, and after six we started to attack our goal summit of Triglav (2864m). We reached it after about 1,5 hours. Then we went down do the valley and started at 18.30 our way back to Poland. We reached Krakow about 3.30 on Saturday.
Incredible experience. Beautiful Julian Alps and national mountain of Slovenia - Triglav!!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The Julian Alps (Slovene: Julijske Alpe, Italian: Alpi Giulie) are a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps that stretches from northeastern Italy to Slovenia, where they rise to 2,864 m at Mount Triglav. They are named after Julius Caesar, who founded the municipium of Cividale del Friuli at the foot of the mountains. A large part of the Julian Alps is included in Triglav National Park.
Triglav (German: Terglau, Italian: Tricorno) is with its elevation of 2,864 metres (9,396 ft) the highest mountain in Slovenia and the highest peak of the Julian Alps. The mountain is the preeminent symbol of the Slovene nation. It is the centerpiece of Triglav National Park, Slovenia's only national park.

Wow, this is a mind blowing landscape, Maciej!
The sunlit foreground and the darker background make a perfect composition.
As usual, the contrasts are at their best.
Thanks and regards.

Hello Maciek,
Interesting photo the way the sun is hitting off of the peaks in the foreground giving them a warm glow, while those in the far off BG have a softer cold look to them. I am sure as you stood there looking out at Grossglockner you were thinking to yourself "I just have to try that one sometime". Nicely composed with great sharpness.

Hello Maciek,
照的清晰 山景很美
這種構圖方式也很特別 令人映象深刻
一種明暗的對比 一種清晰和模糊的對看
真得很美 謝謝分享

Hello Maciej,
Interesting view from very high on the Grossglockner, majestic Austrian peak, which is well visible in the far. Interesting colour-contrast, brown/grey in the front, blue/grey in the back.
