Hi all!

Before the rainy weather reached us in Slovenia, we drove from Krajnska Gora in the Julian Alps over the pass of Vrsnic to Bovec. After the pass, the road follows the magnificient river Soča.

The total length of the Soča river is 136 km and it has its source in the Trenta-Valley. Its typical green-blue colour does not fade away completely even in Italy, as if it would tell us that its heart belongs to the mountains. The Soča is simply beautiful, wild and pure. It is famous for its turquoise colour and for the possibilities it offers for the canoe and kayak championships.

We had a great time there, walking along a part of the river and crossing a high suspension bridge. Although we could not take benefit of its beauty for a long time because of the rainy weather, we won't forget that wonderful place.

Kind regards

Hi Markus. fantastic clours in the water. It looks ice cold. A very nice compostion of the landscape with the river. good detail and natural colours. A sight you will not forget as you say. well done TFS.

Hi Markus,
I never made it to this river although great stories were told about it. Especially for fly fishing. So I am glad you are showing me how the river looks like.
It does look like a powerful stream that would surely not fit me for fishing but even more for exploring and capturing by camera. This view makes me wonder what can be seen behind the bend.
The clarity of the photo and the fresh colors are most wonderful. I like the texture in the rock and the frozen motion of the water.

Hello Markus,
Many thanks for sharing such beautiful section of the river with the cleanest water with it's beautiful colour of it!
the f/14 done a great job to brings out full sharpness of the surrounding and the effect on the flow!
very good exposure and focus in this image, my compliment!
take care and my best regards to you and family in Switzerland!
from NZ, Tony

Ah, Markus,

Hab herzlichen Dank.
Auf bald, werde noch ein mail schreiben

Hi Markus

Looks like a very beautiful place. The turquoise water is unusual, presumably origintes from a glacier. Good composition.

Ciao Marcus, lovely view of splendid river with fantastic colors, great composition, very well done, ciao Silvio

J'aime beaucoup.

These rapids look great for kayaking down them. Terrific colours, and the water looks great as it travels through those rocks and boulders.
What a super view from the suspension bridge.

Looks like you had a wonderful holiday there,

Hello Markus,
This river in Slovenia reminds me of my native place in the Himalayan region.
A truly beautiful landscape picture showing a part of this beautiful river passing through a sylvan region.
Thank you for sharing this lovely image and warm regards.

Hi Markus,
Wonderful shot and you have freezed the flowing water so beautifully. Lovely blue colour of the cascading water and the dense natural surrounding makes it a perfect setting. Great view with a superb POV. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Markus,

The capture of the water movement of the river is an asset to the composition. The trees anf rocks on each side are a natural frame to the river. The point of view is giving depth to the photo. There is a good contrast between the colors. Have a nice day.

Hallo Markus
Yes indeed, What a river! Absolutely a wonderful sight. This is just another wonder of the Creation and indeed a beautiful landscape. A striking flow of water resulting in a stunning scene. I am sure you enjoyed photographing it, as much as I have observing it. The colour of the water is really something special and a feast to the eye. I am sure you could smell the freshness of the flowing water. I can imagine the awesome feeling you had being so close to such splendid view. I have many times admired scenes like this one, paging through books. A beautiful atmosphere is captured. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards

Hello Markus

This is beautiful.I am glad you are bringing it to us because I can't get to it.
The colour of the water is amazing.
Excellent focus and sharpness.
The shot is well composed.

Hi Markus...Beautiful place and fantastic picture..I wish to be there one day....Must be wonderful feeling to be there...Great shot...Thanks to share...Leyla

Bonsoir Markus

I've yet to see something so blue apart from swimming pools! So natural, and so very beautiful!

Hello Markus,
You put your love with nature into all of your photos so that we can enjoy its beauty photo by photo.
Fantastic photo of this wild river, the dispersed cliffs look great and make the photo more dynamic. The most I like is the clear turquoise colour of the water, but the surrounding fresh greenery is also wonderful.
Best wishes,

Hallo Markus,

Hi Markus,
a very lovely aerial view of this river. The soft flowing water flowing through a series of rocks giving white splashes.
Like most rivers of this kind it is very exciting and thrilling.
Well frozen at the right speed.
