The male weighs almost one kilogram and the slightly smaller female.They live up to 40 years, they feed on stems, leaves, plants, roots, frogs and crustaceans and even birds eggs.It has a wingspan of one metre and a height of more than 40 sedentary cms.es in rivers, marshes and lakes.Its implementation period is during the month of March with a total of 2-7 eggs and the incubation period is 23 days.

Good shot, Francisco. The blue bird stands out clearly against the blue water. Despite weeds in the foreground covering the lower parts of the Swamphen, the composition looks good.
