Again I am not sure about the id of this mushroom, almost sure it is a mycena, but it is young and already 12 Cm. high, so it would fit also with some kind of Psathyrella like longipes. Both species are gregarious, usually found in clusters, but this one was alone standing proud, reflecting nice the scarce autumn light available in the late evening.

Hi Felipe and cristina. a very good close up . i like the low POV, it show the Fungi of to its best. as you say looks good in the sun light giving warm natual colours. fine detail . i wonder how tall it gets ?. well done TFS. good notes too.

Yeah,there are so many of these Mycena that are so similar,ID becomes very difficult.
The shot is technically perfect.
Excellent detail on the cap and very good lighting all over.

I hope this one isn't unicelled :-) Not much to say - you're still reigning king of fungi and slimemoulds photos :-) Excellent composition, details and light. Oak leaves - yeah, I'm ready for trip to forest :-) But not today - it's raining badly...

Muy interesante imagen del hongo, lo mas llamativo para mi es la dimensión del mismo.

This is wonderful Felipe, It is such a dramatic composition. One has to wonder how it can support itself on the spindly stem. I love the leaves giving scale and fall color to the image. You managed super sharpness and exposure.

Fantastic image. Some weeks ago I found a Mycena as high as this one, but haven't managed to do a useful shot, even if I tried everything - the disadvantage of small compact camera. I can't tell how much I'd like to use the FZ-50 we talked about.
You cropped the photo quite well, the vertical semi-panorama works to me. Bombastic sharpness - as always on your photos. You also did well with bg - for a shot like this is totally, or almost impossible to compose an environmental bg. Fine work overall, congrats.
