[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Goldcrest is one of my favorite bird from Sweden and I was really pleased to see this 5g of feather during my visit in Spain. As usually they are really fast (even in Spain) and it was not easy to get sharp shot. But if you have patience... and luck you can get few good shots sometimes :)

This one was captured on very cloudy day with 1D Mark III @ 800 F/5.6 ISO-640 1/250sec. I was pleased with result considering that I only had 1/250 to play with.

Hej Ralf,
Yes, a very good result in taking this Goldcrest. The POV is just right and the lighting, sharpness and composition excellent to make it fine portrait of this tricky little bird.

We har haft en dag med sol då jag kunde fota lite, annars har det varit grått och trist:((

Hello Ralf,
Not easy to take a sharp photo of this tiny bird. But you succeeded very well. Excellent details and beautiful colours in a great composition. Very nice POV.

Hi Ralf
I love this timy bird too! We often see them from our flat window even though we are near the centre of a large town. Luckily there are plenty of trees for them to find food. As you say in your notes, the light wasn't great but you have still captured some fine details and colours. I will be very happy if I can get a shot of this species like this! ;-)
Kind Regards
Vinny

Hi Ralf,

I'm not sure if I have ever seen this adorable little bird before. I imagine trying to get a shot of him is much like getting one of a warbler. Your patience paid off with this beauty. I love the perky pose, the beautiful colors and the excellent details. Even the eye is wonderful with the nice catchlight.

Hi Ralf,
Excellent capture of this tiny thing. Goldcrests are very cute and difficult to capture but you have managed perfectly; good pose and composition, sharp fine details and bright colours. He does not seem to be very happy though. No modelling fee?

I can imagine how frisky this little bird would be, Ralf. Still, you havee managed a wonderful shot of it from the best possible perspective.
The focus is spot on and the colours and details, especially on the head, are remarkable.
Well done and TFS.
