Photo taken in a domestic hide. This bird is very common in Canary Islands, from the coast up to the mountain. It is tipycal of Macaranesia of which two races have been described: A. b. berthelotti in Canaries and Savages, and A. b. madeirensis, in Madeira. His possible origin has been a motive of discussion.
