[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The first post from my recent holiday to the Tramuntana mountains in northern Mallorca - this from a fantastic gorge called the Torrent de Pareis - more photos hopefully to follow! Left my fiancee and friends to sunbathe and went for an explore!

It is a stunning ravine and so long as it has not been raining in the mountains you can walk/scramble up most of it - on this day the river bed was mostly dry apart from occasional pools like this which served as a lovely mirror to reflect the steep skyline. I also like the pebbles in the pool shining through the reflections - no polariser here!

Thanks for looking, I hope you like it.

Hi Doug,
sorry, i didn't see this when i was replying to you! What a great shot, i love your POV that invites the eye to travel beyond that great reflection and on down the valley, The submerged pebbles add some nice detail to the FG too. My kind of terrain, looks great to scramble around on and up!

Hi Doug,

What a great shot. Crystal clear water and a beautiful mirror effect in the river. A perfect POV. Natural colors. The sun and shadow on both side of the mountains: Wonderful. Regards and TFS Bob

Hola amigo,
precioso paisaje,
reflejos y transparencias hermosas,
bello pov,
saludos Doug.

Hi Doug!

I like the simplicity of your picture and the well done composition. From my point of view, I would attenuate a bit the bright tones.

Kind regards
Markus

Bonsoir Doug

Hi Doug,

I like the scene you chose for this shot. There are some really nice elements in it; the reflections and the rocks in the river bed. A couple of issues make the composition feel a bit static to me ( probably just to me!) Those are the division of the frame almost directly in half and the main tree almost directly dead center.

Hi Doug

Lovely reflection but I also like the detail in the stones in the FG. Excellent POV and DOF
