Thanks very much Tibor for his help, I was a bit lost and he suggested the right id.

The photo was taken in a wondeful place called Arribes de Duero, which I think must be mentioned in TN. It is a nice place to visit with no rush, a natural park with excellent tracks and lanscapes, very nice food, incredible vineyards and friendly people.

"The Arribes del Duero is a stunning gorge separating Spain and Portugal. The gorge cuts through granite rock and runs some eighty kilometres, of which fifty run alongside the Portuguese border, with cliffs rising to more than 200 metres in places. The cliffs support superb birdlife including griffon vultures, golden eagles and black storks are overs. Boat trips starting at Fronteira de Zamora can be arranged.
There are also several hydroelectricity dams along the river. Spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno described Arribes del Duero as “One of the most beautiful and impressive landscapes in Spain.”

Arribes del Duero is also a natural park, covering 106.105 ha. Portuguese natural park lies alongside Arribes del Duero. Taking the two parks together, Douro Internacional covers 191.255 ha making it one of the largest protected areas in Europe.

I found this info HERE.

Hello Felipe,
Sorry, I can't help you with the ID, but his is a very good close photo in excellent sharpness and details and beautiful natural colours. Good DOF, POV and composition.

I am sure that is a Psammodromus species, probably the large one, the Psammodromus algirus. the keeled scales are characteristic for this genus. nice capture, tfs

Hi Felipe
What a great shot this big lizard.
Perfect details and great colors.

Hola Felipe,
"Arribes del Duero" parece ser un lugar con muchas cosas interesantes, y este lagarto así li demuestra! Ciertamente, es una lástima no poder contar con una foto completa del lagarto; pero este close-up es muy elocuente!... que coloración, eh?, se me viene a la mente un diminuto dragón con fuego y todo!... bravo! hermosa foto!... no tengo ni idea del ID, apenas si conozco un par de nuestras lagartijas!

Ciao Felipe, superb portrait with fantastic colors, lovely blurry BG, amazing details and splendid sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio
