Episyrphus balteatus is a sirphid. It can be seen in the adult in cold. It has been observed that most females lay eggs on plants with aphids. So their larvae are food safe. Besides young aphid colonies are more attractive than those of winged aphids (old).

Buen macro Roberto. Un foco perfecto justo en la cabeza del insecto, también se aprecia este foco en los estambres justo debajo de la cabeza. La luz es muy buena y bien controlada, así como el color amarillo que suele ser muy difícil. Impresiona como con una apertura de f13 no tenga mas profundidad de campo. Buena composición también. Enhorabuena y un saludo.
Se me acabaron hoy los puntos.
