[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Scathophaga lutaria is a fly in the family Scathophagidae. Frequently in animal dung, where they lay eggs and their larvae feed on other organisms hunting. As adults visit flowers regularly. They feed on nectar and other insects. In the picture you can see as an adult lutaria Scathophaga has caught a small fly Liriomyza genus. The photograph was taken on the petals of the flower of Yucca. Above them, moments before taking this picture, we have seen this issue of Scathophaga lutaria feeding on flower nectar, or a liquid that is present in the petals. In the picture you can see the liquid droplets. Nectarios on the petals?
Notably Liriomyza cause damage in certain crops, such as tomatoes, and so on.
Trimmed with LR3.
Thank you.
Robert.

Hello Roberto,
What an awesome macro. You have captured this guy feeding on another fly perfectly. Love the low POV you chose and beautiful warm colors. F/16 resulted in some really nice DOF.
Ron
