Clavulina rugosa

ENGLISH IN THE LOWER PART

Sinonimos: Clavaria canaliculata, Clavaria fragiliformis, Clavaria rugosa, Ramaria macrospora

Carpóforo.- Crece de manera irregular , con distintas y variadas formas. Suele medir próximo a 10 cms. de altura por 0,5 cms de grosor y a veces suelen encontrarse ramificadas aunque es mas normal encontrarla en estado simple. La superficie es rugosa o tuberculosa y es de color blanco sucio o blanco amarillento.
Himenóforo.- El himeneo cubre la superficie del carpóforo.
Pie.- Se encuentra en la parte inferior del carpóforo, unas veces es rugoso y otras liso
Carne.- De color blanco, sin olor ni sabor apreciables.
Gastronomía.- Carece de valor culinario.
Hábitat.- En Otoño y comienzos del Invierno, entre jaras y encinas o en bosques de coníferas.

Wrinkled Club

Clavaria rugosa Fr. Fruit body 4–12cm high, white or cream, solitary, gregarious, simple or with a few antler-like side branches, the surface often wrinkled and uneven. Spores white, broadly ovoid-ellipsoid to subglobose, 9–14×8–12µ. Habitat terrestrial, in woods. Season late summer to late autumn. Common. Said to be edible. Distribution, America and Europe.

As usual you manage to find the most interesting and unusual fungi.Quite amazing its texture and shape.No mention of a tripod so you must have steady hands.Good natural colour and you have handled the low light well.Well done and TFS.

Nice to see you back and posting, my friends!
This is another beautiful fungi shot from you!
The details and textures on this one are really terrific and the contrast with the BG nicely managed.
The exposure is also spot-on and the DOF is outstanding!
The "on the ground" POV works again superbly and the slim vertical composition goes great with it!

Esta imagen me recuerda el concepto utilizado en la última presentación de Jose Ramon de sus hongos Felipe... una presentación poco atractiva desde lo meramente llamativo y estético pero con gran sentido instructivo y pedagógico presentando con gran punto de vista y composición general esta especie de setas tan particulares por su forma y contextura.
El foco y la agudeza son realmente buenos pero creo que en este caso el F8 no colabora con el desenfoque posterior.
