Hi Ivan,
Outstanding shot and you have unearthed another beauty from your archives. Immaculate sharpness, nice colours and perfect lighting. Dragonflies(Damselflies) photo is always welcome here, especially for me! :-) Actually, in my country, we have the same one. They are rare and only observed partly a few northern area.
Very nice capture of this cute little I. elegans, with excellent details and exact focusing.
Also, vivid colours and nice composition here, with excellent POV.

a nice shot of this eating Blue-Tail.
+++ The sharpness is amazing and there is a lot of detail.
I like the diagonal composition aswell.
Nice lighting and colours.
Good DOF and BG.
--- Some noise left from noise-reduction around the plant and upper part of the dameslfly but can easily be eliminated.

Hi Ivan,
I see you also use tele to make great macro shots!
I was looking to see what was you macro lens, but realize it was made with a 300 plus a converter.
The focus on the damselfly is just spot on and the sharpness of the image is excellent.
The lighting was very good also, did you used some fill light or reflecting thing?

Hi Ivan

Indeed :) You have quite many rather elusive subjects in your gallery and this is your first post of this so common little beauty :) Funny.
But it's definitely a photo for such days - here the weather is dark grey, too. It's eaning is to bring color and light on our screens at least, and it does that beautifully.
Technically, the capture is very nice. The diagonal composition is great and the damsel is presented with very nice sharp details. The prey - although hardly visible, is a good bonus. Excellent shallow DOF, spot-on exposure and nice presentation.

What perfect diagonal symetry Ivan! The the blue on the damselfly sticks out well from the green perch. A couple of bonus additions. You do have the sensitive eye for nature.

Super capture Ivan, of this beautiful Common Blue-tail, with great pose, colours and composition. I see some pixels/noise around the body, when selectively sharpened maybe, but still a brilliant fellow.
