Bonita toma de este animal desconocido aquí. Buen enfoque al disparar de casi 2 metros.
great to see you back again and I hope your feeling much better.
A lovely shot of this newt. I think this is the only species we see commonly over here.
+++ Sharp and detailed. Great low-down POV and a good composition.
Is there artificial blurring?
--- Nothing :)
Well done and TFS,
This is a lovely picture of this female T. vulgaris. I like seeing her from the side and loking at all those lovely patterns on her skin. You say you found her under a rock - that means that she is already ready for hibernation and that her skin was quite rough (not really all that smooth :) ), right?
Anyway, despite the difficulties with the position you had to take and the distance from your subject, this is a lovely shot.
Bravo and TFS

good to see a post from you, hope your recovery is going to plan. I'd make the most of being able to lie around doing nothing whilst you can if i were you ;o)
Excellent work on the DOF and you've got impressive details. Nice diagonal composition across the frame with a striking bronze colour in this Smooth Newt.

Before I will write some words about technique I need to say that it is a great pleasure to watch this picture. And not only because in general I like a lot to watch pictures with reptiles and amphibians. It is not often to meet newts on the land! (with exception of autumn-spring period of course ;>). My best congratulations because of this success! :>
And now a few words about all this elements of photo which I like:
1. composition - horizontal but the best one I can imagine. It clearly allow to see the profile of the species from its natural POV :)
2. colouration - natural colours and delicate BG
3.pose of the newt - really funny, it looks like "running"
4. note - interesting and informative, even if not very long :)
Summarizing - very good work! TFS and have a nice evening!

I hope you're not going stay horizontal for too long Ivan.
This newt looks very much like our skinks in NZ. I must try and takew a photo of one this summer - our cat often brings them inside to play with:(
The sharpness looks a tad overdone to me as I can see a halo on it's back, but it gives us a good look at her. I bet she was in a hurry to get away from you!

Superb composition, colours and details in this chubby little specimen.
I love the diagonal: it gives the feeling of movement straight downward for safety here

It is here on TrekNature where my love and interest for lizards awakened and I suppose it was only natural that this newfound affection spilled over to the amphibians – salamanders and newts. They are amazing and fascinating little animals.
You have captured a stunning image of this "almost coppery coloured" female Smooth Newt. The midday lighting was well managed and the wide DOF provided excellent details. The diagonal placing of the subject resulted in a good composition which also shows lovely colour rendition.
Well done and TFS.
