What a fine capture!
Not just because you caught the head and neck of a Kornknarr with excellent sharpness and colours but because as we know this species is rarely seen, let alone photographed. My son heard one near his home in Uppsala early one morning but he could not see it even though it was calling very close by.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

The effect of the fine 300mm f/2.8 is easily recognisable here friend Gert! Good day and I am so glad to see this amazing work from you again! What a brilliant dept of field/clarity and detail indeed. The ghost of this rare specie is absolutely amazing. Corn Crane in a strange behaviour as you are saying! Bravo, I love the low almost ground level point of view the shadows of the out of focus grass and the perfect natural color under fabulous warm light! Bravo Gert, fantastic work indeed!

This Corn Crake's head is so sharply focused it actually hurts my eyes and that is no lie. Sjoe, it is so clear it is actually unbelievable. A absolutely praiseworthy portrait. Stunning photography! Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Your shot is very pictorial and looks very natural. I like it a lot. FG and BG are blurred nicely and underline accurate contours of a beautiful bird perfectly. Pose of the bird, its glance and other attractive features are shown excellently too. My kind regards and TFS.

Excellent capture. Apparently an impossible shot but you did it anyway. As a matter of fact I do like the greenish foreground softness. It generates depth and it also adds a kind of painterly effect to your work.
Congrats and TFS,
