Hej Ivan,

Fascinating macro shot with, as it seems like, the whole grasshopper in focus. Top class sharpness and neat background, too. Colors aren't very varied, but it was a mistake of the evolution. :) No, of course, she needed colors for perfect camouflage. Only such sensitive eyes as Yours were able to discover her. Brilliant job MF. Bravo.

Here in Hungary winter "kicks the last", as we used to say. Today there wasn't frost at all, but a bit of rain. Almost all of the snow are already melted in the city (but there's still 25 centimeters in the mountains).

Very good way to generate a picture in contrast with relatively complicated. The focus layers create a fund very nice and well-blurred. The foreground grasshopper, is perfect in details and color. TFS

Hi Ivan. I am always amazed what fine detail and sharp focusing you get with the 300 + 1.4 lens set. I start to think is a macro lens always needed !! Any way this is a first class picture of the Grasshopper , taken at a low POV . Not so sure i could get this low down and get back up. Very good use of the light making for bright colours. TFS.

This grasshopper should be very well camouflaged but your magical photographic skills have him standing out so well from the ground coverage. Colors and details of the face, eye and body are perfect. A wonderful natural setting and a superb composition.

a great close-up of Large Marsh Grasshopper on green grasses, with great sharp focus and under good lighting. POV and composition very nice as like colors and good informative notes.
you are right. it reminds me summer. but some signs occur here for spring. I have received news from my bird watcher friend and White Storks start to come and some swallows too.
I hope you will have similar news a short time later.

Hello Ivan,
Excellent shot with perfect sharpness and a well chosen low point of view. This Marsh Grasshopper is very present on the Moosalp, a bog-landscape in Valais situated on 2000m altitude . I had some pictures of it, which I lost in the crash of my computer. Anyway my pictures weren't so well done like the one you show us here.

In my haste I almost missed this one Ivan, it would be a pity since your ants-eye view of this tele-macro capture shows this anacridid grasshopper with superb selective focus usage and perfect exposure, revealing lots of structural details of this fascinating insect in its natural surroundings.
