friendly looking bear, low lighting condition can be seen in colours and sharpness, but it's not too bad.

You opened the lense wide open and the iso right up to 1600 in what were gloomy rainy conditions under tree cover...To be honest I would be more than happy with the details you have captured on this wonderful bear...Its a superb capture and shows the quality of you as a photographer and your carefully chosen equipment.

Mooie foto en snap niet waarom hij maar 10 punten heeft.
Mooie compositie en de beer staat goed in de foto.
Vaak krijgen mooie foto's minder punten en slechte of mindere zomaar 60 punten.
Heb ik ook wel last van maar goed het is niet anders.

Totally agree about the noise reduction. It is too often overdone and then the animals look like a plastic toy.
Nice pose and composition.

it gives an excellent effect of some parts of his fur in shadows

Hoi Paul,
De ruis is meer dan acceptabel in zo'n mooie foto als deze. De menselijke epressie van deze beer is gewoon super. De lichte lach en onschuldige ogen zijn prachtig. De scherpte diepte in deze foto is erg goed en geeft de volle aandacht aan de beer. De foto had van mij iets scherper gemogen zodat je iets meer doortekening krijgt in de vacht.
