[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The first photo I ever upload on TrekNature is taken just outside my home situated in the country. It´s one of two young Common Buzzards (Buteo buteo) from the nest in a grove not far away. This morning one of them sat on a big hay bale, then left the bale and soared just above my head. The Common Buzzard is the most common breeding raptor in south Sweden and probably northern Europe.

The photo was taken before noon in clear weather with my 300 mm lens and 1,4x converter. I used 1/1000 to freeze the bird in the flight.

I got a question about the very thin strings from the tail. I suppose the Buzzard has it in its claws and that it comes from the thin nylon net around the bale.

Hej Hasse!
Welcome to TN!
You make a fine start with this in-flight of a Common Buzzard showing all the features from below with fine sharpness and lighting and I like the diagonal composition. A nice neighbour to have!
Thanks for sharing this excellent image and I look forward to seeing many more from you.

Congratulations with the first photo and welcome on TN. Very nice photo of the flying Buzzard. I wonder what those two shiny strings are behind the tail feathers? I like the feather details very much. Rehanna

Hello Hans,
What a beautiful neigbour you have and you captured it very well, wonderful composition and natural colours, I would sharpen it a bit using unsharp mask but it is excellent as it is anyway,
thanks for sharing,
