This is a very common butterfly but it's a small beauty.
This my second post and also my 6th birthday on TN.

A relatively small butterfly with a wingspan of 35-45 millimetres. The wings are on the top mostly white, with touches of gray or black, the underside is yellow with green suffusion along the wing ribs. The yellow color and suffusion underneath the rear wing is weaker in the second generation. Front wing end in a dark spot ahead.

Another great macro Gert.
These small butterflies are very photogenic. Their additional feature is that they have made the wing. In addition, they have nice designs on parts of the wings in milk. Beautiful are the eyes of this small butterfly and a great shaggy head.
Great job, great preview of many gorgeous photos in this portfolio.
Have a nice Sunday
Jurek

Hallo Gert
Congratulations on the great milestone of 6 years on the site, your contributions are always appreciated and your photography praiseworthy. Although you mention that the butterfly you share as your birthday posting is common, it is to me rather special and very soft on the eye. The details captured is special and I especially like the olive coloured markings that looks like pressed wine leaves in between the soft baby yellow colour of the wings. It is lovely to see the detail of both the outer and inner wing, the zebra striped antennas and the large eye. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hi Gert.
It is a pity you have left only two shots here. However, I am happy that you are among us still. I think the POV and composition of the shot are the best. Subject at whole is wonderful too and details of the cute butterfly and tiny flowers are ultimate. Bravo as usual and all the best to you.
Alexei.

Hello Gert. Nice to meet you again, as always a real pleasure to look at your work.
The image is just perfect. Technical and artistic skills are incredible, nothing more to say...
My compliments and best regards, Felipe.

I honestly would have to say that there is no room for improvement on this beautiful capture! You mastered the exposure perfectly. This is why I like TN, great photos is second to actually being there in person. People like you have learned to take the time at capturing the subject well through both appreciation and patience and it clearly has shown through your work Gert. :)

It's beautiful Gert, you've done a fine job with this white.
I wouldn't change a thing old friend.
Hope you're doing well,
Howard
