Missed being your neighbour on the gallery by one space, Ivan.
It is decidedly a rare Beetle and I have definitely seen it for the first time. Unique but absolutely attractive colours on its thorax and abdomen. The POV from the top shows all its features very clearly.
Thanks for sharing this suberb macro of a rare species of Beetles.

Hallo Ivan
This is so beautiful it actually looks unreal in a way, almost like make believe. A most colourful and striking macro with which I cannot find any fault. The details captured are superb, the composition and point of view just right and the additionals like the pretty petite flowers and the water droplets that covers the beetle a pleasant bonus. The shape of the antennas is fascinating and pleasant to look at. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

this is very interesting, bt very beautiful beetle, with reddish and dark green colors. In first looking, I thought it was a Lampyridae. May be I have seen a Silphidae member for first time. you greatly captured it on flowery umbelliferous. great focus, light using and POV/DOF. nicely composed and presented with good informative notes.

Qué sorpresa Ivan ! No vemos cada día a este curioso escarabajo.
Veo que sus texturas y dibujos son sumamente elegantes a la vez
que difíciles de captar por la cámara; no es el caso ya que tú
lo captaste con gran habilidad. Bellas tonalidades y excelente la
sensación del insecto "flotando" sobre la planta.
