Hello Nik,
this is not the Common Eggfly, Hypolimnas bolina, from the family Nymphalidae,
but the swallowtail butterfly Graphium agamemnon (Papilionidae).
Best wishes, Peter

Hallo Nik and welcome to Trek Nature with a great intro shot.
Sometimes a person has to wait and wait for a photograph to present itself, and sometimes there it just is, and you think, "How lucky I was today or how lucky that I had my camera with me!" This is a great shot, something you probably wouldn't see or be able to capture again soon. The motion of the wings and the overall colours in the image is great. Very entertaining! Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Nik,
A quite spectacular and colorful picture! Amazing how well you have the butterfly in focus and caught the motion of the wings. It would be nice if you present butterflies not taken in the wild to write down where you have taken it (butterfly house, for example), otherwise people believe that these non European species are flying around in Switzerland :-)
Kind regards
