Hi all!

It was a hard day. First I had to shelter from heavy rain and wind, then I wanted to have breakfast and found my favourite meadow empty... all the flowers had been taken away by those horrible humans and their noisy machines!

After that I flew over a large field and found nothing else than again and again the same plant, one close to the other. Still nothing to eat...I hate flying around that long before breakfast! Grrr... Finally I arrived at that curious grey band where nothing grows on and where humans drive in these fast coloured boxes. I was almost hurt by one of them, could avoid it in the last second, but he turbulences swirled me through the air like a dead leaf!

When I wanted to go back to the edge of the forest where I had passed the night, I suddenly felt a huge and terribly quick shadow in my neck! I could escape thanks to some aerobatics... Pfuuuuh, that was close! Now, I'm tired, I feel the burden of the age. I need a rest on this leaf that seems to be made for me. Even my wings can lay down on it... Wow, you can't imagine how I appreciate the last sunrays of the day!

Let's hope I will have a more peaceful and calm day tomorrow...

Yours sincerely

Painted Lady

Hi Markus

Excellent POV and lighting plus sharp focus - the image almost 'jumps' out of my screen.

Bellissima macro di Vanessa cardui, molto bella la luminosità e stupendo OOF BG, buopna definizione dei dettagli, molto bella la composizione con la posa sulla foglia. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Markus,

Superb shot of the Painted Lady.
Nicely composed with a great POv and a lovely pose, I like the way the leaf matches the butterflies open wings.
Lovely details and excellent colours and light.

Was it Ram Sir who mentioned that you're a poet?I keep forgetting!
But now I do see that you've got this gift for the narrative as well!
Very well done, on both counts, Markus, the shot and the butterfly's story!

Hello Markus,
Great capture, I like this.
It has a sunny "spotlit" look to it that is very pleasing.
Excellent detail/DOF, color, and POV. Stands out very well in the frame..
Well composed,
Well done!

Lieber Markus,

hello markus,
the butterfly is enjoying the sunlight on the top of the plant, this is a perfect opportunity to get it with open wings and you did it so well,
liked the pov, the colors and the composition,
tfs & regards

Hallo Markus,

Hi Markus.
Excellent image of the fine scene, beautiful butterfly and great BG. I like all components of high photo art, presented here. Back POV is amazing as well as 3D-effect f the image. Lights and colours are rich and fine, blurriness of the BG is stunning. Bravo.

Very nice image, excellent sharp focus and detail with very natural colours. Well framed too.

Hello Markus,

Very unusual notes!
This is a very good capture showing the beautiful pattern and colours on the butterfly's wings.
I just love the way its wings follow the shape of the leaf.
Good dof to keep the butterfly sharp but the b/g nicely blurred.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Excelente encuadre Markus y muy destacable la naturalidad con que se observa esta toma, tanto en los colores como en la luz.
Buen trabajo.

Hi Markus
It is beautiful. First of all great light and nice saturated colors. Very interesting POV and perfect sharpness. Also good not disturbing background. Very good job

Hello Markus,

Scrolling through your archives I came to this beauty. What a razorsharp shot. Fine POV and a wonderful compo. I like always the nature in the surroundings of the object. Just what Nicholas said: I love also the notes about a day in the life of a butterfly well thought out. At last something different than we were. I read it with pleasure. Thanks for that.

Best regards and TFS BOB

Hi Markus,
what I really like here is the repetition of the butterfly's wing by the leaves.
In your case it is not a coincident. it is a well designed and well thought shot. With lovely blurry background it gives a good effect as a visual attraction and a lovely presentation.
