Yersterday I did a landscape post, now from an angle with flowers in front, wonder if the foreground is chosen too large, dont feel sure with lanscape shots yet, from last post had good comments so hope to get a better learning curve by posting shots like this.

Hi Reina,
Prachtig landschap.

Bewerkt of zo?

Hi Reina,
Much better choice of foreground than yesterdays posting, again same issues of focus as before, hyperfocal needed. I agree with you the, foreground is a little to large, I would have liked to have seen more of the sky. How about choosing a much lower position to shoot from, almost on the ground, this would have reduced the amount of foreground you would see, also you would have been closer to the flowers for more detail and finally you would have been able to include more of the sky without changing your focal length.

Best wishes

Hello Reina

A lovely alpine landscape. The wild flowers in the foreground are beautiful. The lake is wonderful, the puffy white clouds and their shadows are fantastic and the awesome scenery of the mountains are super.TFS

Excellent composition. I think this will look fantastic if you use a small aperture (large DOF) and focus on the flowers in the foreground.

Hello Reina,
The colourful field in the front is a good lead-in to the vista of mountains and lake!
A well composed image with good colours...
Maybe I could wish for a bit better sharpness, either in fron or in the back?

Hello Reina,
Another great landscape.POV,composition and visual impact are excellent.Have a great day!

Hi Reina,
A beautifully composed landscape. Very good lighting and colors. Excellent work. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hoi Reina,
Groet, Ruud

Hi Reina

Congratulations with this lovely scenic capture. Since I am not much of a landscape photographer I always like to see nice landscapes and learn from other photographers.

Unfortunately you did not supply any camera details so I don't really know how to give any technical advice or what suggestions to make for possible improvements. For example, what was the aperture setting as this would explain maybe why the DOF did not capture perfect details throughout the depth range of the image? Was the camera mounted on a tripod as this might have given you the opportunity to improve on the aperture setting thus achieving a much greater DOF?

I assume you shot this with the D200 so I am sure that you should be able to include the exif data with your postings. However, if you make use of the "Save for web" selection in Photoshop, then it actually deletes the exif data of the file. For that reason it is better to rather use the "Save as" function, but that makes the control of the file size a little trickier. Anyway, you could still provide some manual info on your posting as TN gives you the opportunity to supply "Exposure" info like the "F-Stop" and "Shutter speed" as well as details such as "Tripod" or "(Fill) Flash" during the upload process.

I like the flowers you included in the foreground as it really leads the eye deeper into the composition where it can discover all the other beautiful features of the mountain range, the extraordinary coloured lake, and the lovely sky. Although you could have perhaps include a little more sky in the shot in order to equal out on the 1/3 rule. The colours are great and the exposure was well managed.

Well done and TFS.

Bonjour Reina.
Trés belle image de ce beau paysage.Amitié

Hi, Reina.
Very nice view. I have to visit this place sometimes. And I think you have succeeded in composition. And you probably can make it look even better with levels manipulation and sharpening.

Hi Reina

Lovely view, well composed and with great colours. Nice POV

Dear Reina
What a great scene you captured,
Perfect DOF,lighting and sharpness,

Good Luck

Hi Reina!

While a thick layer of fog coveres my homeland today, I get my sunrays from this picture.

Thank you for that!

The colors are superb, the lighting is fine, too, and I like that low point of view.

Kind regards

Hi Reina,
this is a very captivating shot of a landscape. The beauty is very outstanding. You managed to present it wonderfully. The foreground of pretty yellow flowers really allow the eyes to venture into a more perspective of the lake and mountains. Very nicely composed of balanced light and tones. the clouds bring in dramatic features to your shot. Really make feel standing there , watching the view and then I would rolled around the plains thinking of beautiful life.
Really pleasant shot. Thanks.
