hallo Dieter,
So schnell war ich noch nie mit meinen Kommentaren. Fast so schnell wie der Sandlaufkäfer! Schöne Darstellung auf dem sandigen Gérine-Ufer. Bemerkenswert ist die Farbigkeit der Beine, die ich an Ort nicht gesehen hatte. Erinnerung an einen wunderschönen Tag.

Funny story, but please believe me - I understand you perfectly! :> These little creatures are more than difficult to photograph :>
Anyway, nice to see your final effect, this little lady (as it is a female) looks really nice. I like almost frontal POV, thanks to this it is really easy to see that this is C. hybrida (very characteristic shape of labrum as you know).
Thank you for showing this beetle and thank you also for compliments. It is really a great pleasure to know that anyone can find anything interesting in my presentation :)

A great macro of C. hybrida taken from an excellent POV to show the labrum, jaws and other aspects of the head with fine sharpness. This is an inspiration for me to look for it here near my home where it has a small population.

A superb photo of this little beast. I've tried a few times to photograph Tiger Beetles here, and they are so active that I have yet to get a good image of one, so congratulations, it's quite a feat to get a shot like this one.

auch ich habe diese Tiere mit meiner Kamera - oft erfolglos - verfolgt, auch in den Tropen, da scheinen sie noch fixer zu sein als hier in Europa. Klasse Bild. Manchmal muss man erfinderisch sein.

And the POV couldn't be much better to fit this theme either..
You've picked up all those subtle color variations on the beetle too, Nice!
Excellent DOF, details, comp, and use of flash to fill.
