Lesser known backyard guests:
The 9 mm long insect is known as Common grass bug (Heteroptera; Miridae; Stenodema laevigata; Gemeine Graswanze). It sits in a cherry blossom. The species has the particularity of changing its color from light geen to pale red.

The animals live from grass seeds but since there are none in early spring...

ID: there are 7 species of Stenodema bugs in my region, all look similar. They are differentiated by color although that can change with the season in every species. All that's left is to sort out some spines. Lit.: Stresemann,et al. 2005. Exkursionsfauna von Deutschland, Wirlbellose: Insekten. Elsevier.

Lieber Dieter,

Hi Dietrich.
Extreme DOF and outstanding reproduction of the white colour tones. Terrific work. I am also impressed with great details of the scene and its richness, superb lights and colours. You may work as wedding photographer. Bravo.

A lovely capture of these flower and bug. Nicely placed and composed.
The colours and lighting are very good.
Well focused.
