[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Insects in flight-20 :

The European Paper Wasp (Polistes dominulus, Haus-Feldwespe. Vespidae) appears to be flying in the sunbeam, "stairway to heaven". But in reality it is flying vertically, the movement of the wings being in a horizontal plane. The long hind legs push the wasp off at start.

Technicals: 1/4'000 sec, f/5.6, ISO 1'600, telelens 600 mm eq. , manual focus, serial shots, no flash, hand held.

Hi Dietrich, bad new in your note, but "unless" gives me the hope to see others, very unique and always well done. This wasp is wonderful,it seems to fly like the space shuttle in this funny pose. Magnificent new pic! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hallo Dieter,
Gar nicht einfach eine fliegende Wespe zu erwischen..super gute Schärfe und witzige Darstellung..fast wäre sie dir aus dem Bild geflogen.
