Two issues.

I. After hard work on a PC on coming to end project my eyes were overtired and I had been compelled to stop work on PC and, naturally, my TN activity. The last was especially difficult test for me. However, all is almost OK now and I can continue presentation of Odessa hooded crows.

II. This shot was taken almost year ago on Odessa town beach. Our crows (both black and grey ones) love to spend time on seashore. They can find any food there and walking people often feed them and gulls too. However, I decided year ago that this shot is bad enough and I forgot about it at all. Only now, after sharing of the previous shot, taken with new Nikon D700 (Severe Look), I have recollected this picture and see that my lovely Minolta (which was presented to my daughter-in-law) also can produce good enough pictures of hooded crows. In a word, I have trouble with estimation of my own pictures, I think :).
____

You can see under sunbeams colouration of the hooded crow is looked differently and so natural too. You also can see that sand of our beach is not very attractive. That is why I do not invite you to visit it especially in winter season :).

Hello Alexei
I am pleased to see you returned after hard work, and you came back with such a beauty.
Now matter what kind of image you are posting, I am always delighted by your photography and presentation manner, as it is done with style and pride. The colours and details captured are superb. The pose is great, with the head tilted sideways. I just love the frontal view, showing of the details of the black feathers forming patterns on the chest. Details of the whole image are greatly displayed and the colours are bright and pleasing to the eye. This photograph is a pleasure to look at. I thank you for all your pleasant contributions on the site. Best regards.

Hi Alex,

I never thought I would say a picture of a crow was sweet - but this one really is. The expression is so nice and pleasant. This portrait meets your standard of excellence and is wonderful from head to toe. The face is beautiful, the details of the feathers are magnificent. The colors are lovely and natural. He blends in with the setting and yet stands out from it beautifully.

Hi Alexei. This is a fine close up of the Crow. You were able to get in very close whaich has given fine detail in the feathers with natural colours. Great contact with the eye. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hello Alexei,

Thank you for sharing this. It is a fine close-up of the hooded crow. I have never seen such a sharp, front view before. The distribution of the black on its chest, in a radiating pattern, is very attractive. Crows are always considered ugly birds but this is not ugly at all!
The head-tilted pose gives the impression of intent concentration. I bet it's quite an intelligent bird, too!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

I'm in love with this row, Alexei, it is so beautiful! Your picture allows us to contemplate the beautiful chest with the entertwined feathers of grey and black. She almost looks shy to be taken in pictures ;-) You are right, we are not the best judges of our pictures, at time and I am glad you did post this one. Many thanks, it is superb,

Hi Alex!

The effect of this picture is terrific! All in grey - and so beautiful! The unity of the colour tones, the position of the bird's head and the superb lighting make this picture an outstanding one. Moreover, I believe it's a good idea to show a series of the same bird in order to present it under different aspects, although this is not easy.

Kind regards

Markus

Hello Alexei
a very detailed photo. It is not so easy to approach these timid birds. Details are good portraits but what hit me is the several tonalities of gray of the photo that renders it very particular

Dear, "DEAR" Alexei, Missed you!!!
Still trying to catch up.... sleep... I mean. Am far tooooo old to travel!!!
Have registered a lot of this species on the 8th. Wonder of the world grounds in Haifa, Israel.
Shall post these one of these days.
Warm greetings of TRUE friendship,
Mario. P.S. What antivirus are you using? Am having computer troubles.

Hello Alexei !
I've been absent from TN for a long time, but I missed the pictures, and I missed my friends - so I'm back, and for very long, I hope ! :-) I have missed so many excellent picture from you ! I particularly like this one, because the grey color of the bird is really amazing and beautiful, almost like silver. Excellent details, nicepose of the bird, and I like the grey-and-black colorsof this picture. I wish I had such crows in France, but here they are all black ! Very well done !
Valerie.

Hola Alexei,
Magnífica captura, buena definición y textura, magníficos detalles, agradable iluminación. Que tengas unas muy felices fiestas en compañia de los tuyos. Un cordial saludo

Hi alexei.

I like reading your issues especially the first one. I face the same issue myself. This crow is so well shot and framed under good lighting exposing fine exposure of the plumage. The details around the head and chest is different that ours which are very black. Another superb presentation for TN and well done indeed.

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.
Best regards,
Jusni

Hello Alexei,

This is a fine portrait of the hooded crow!
It is a good pose and the details in the plumage are stunning, pin sharp and lovely colouring...
The movement is nicely stopped only a small motion blur as the bird is lifting the left leg..!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Alexei,

This is absolutely impressive tele-macro of a lovely hooded crow in fine posture. The POV/DOF, details and harmony of the colours with its surrounding are all great MF!

On my Nikon D-5000 which i bought it while i was in London aprox. 4 month ago, it has very good photo quality with CMOS sensor and a bit faster but especialy i impressed its video capture feature with an articulated LCD monitor which i could have a chance to record HDD quality movies with its high sensitivity voice recording. I could recommend it you if you think to buy!
Have a great night MF!
Cheers,

Bayram

Hi Alexei,
I made a 30-minute search in your gallery to find something I didn't comment yet. So it would be the right time to return with some new photos. :-) Fantastic black and white image (even if originally it was done as a coloured), in this case your sea shore doeen't look unattractive. ;-) Details on the bird are excellent and the composition's pleasant. Good shot, I'm glad you posted it (although this is the 1st time I look at it).
Best regards, László
