[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Today some memoirs from 2004 holidays on Crimea. We lived in south shore of penisula, but one day we bought trip to Balaklawa - amazing city near Sewastopol. Balaklawa is really ancient [2500 years old city] well known from Jupiter cult, Genoan fortress and later - base for atomic submarines. All in one place. We arrived, saw most monuments and then went to small fishing boat and went by water along the coast. It was one of most funny days in Crimea. We met on boat two Russians - Sasza and Sieryoza - these guys was amazing. Friendly, funny and helpfull. After few bottles of cognac they started to dance and sing on deck and did most silly things I've ever saw. It was real Russian-Polish friendship ;-) Back to my photo - we saw fantastic rock formations, underwater caves, beaches which one could reach only via sea. On my picture you can see one of this beaches. Upper part of photo isn't OE - this is mist which came with light speed after sunny noon.

Hi Greg, what an interesting note and a good view here of the 'beach', plus rock formations. What a rocky beach! And looking at the trees, they must be bigger then what they seem. Good shot, thank you...
And a fun day was had by you too - cognac tastes like medicine to me:(

Very nice "progulka". Interesting view on fantastic rocks. I like the tops vanishing in clouds.

Hi Greg,
Very good shot!
I liked the POV and the mist...Your note is interesting ...
Your Russian friens didn't like shopping? just drinking?
So, I think they were not like the ones you met in the tour 2005...

I remember this day!
For me - Balaklawa - it was the most beautiful place I've ever saw!!!
Maybe on this photo it's difficult to find all its beauty but.... I'm in love with this place.

Beautiful and spectacular mountain!
As for russians, I met a few too, they know for sure the drinking sport, but they can be also helpful friends in some situations.

Regards, Petru

WOW, to have the sea in one side, an this view in the other, really makes this beach impressing. I like the mist, it has a nice effect over the huge rock formations. Thanks for the note, again a great smile with it. Regards, Felipe.

Hi Greg,
Good detail and colours. Great POV and sharpness.
Nicely composed and good exposure.
Thanks for posting. Enjoy the rest of the week.

Hi Greg,
A very dramatic landscape shot. Excellent colors and detail in the rock formations. The mist at the tops of the rocks really adds to the composition. Well done!

Hello Greg, this is a very nice landscape. Composition is great and good colours and sharpness too. A good one, very well done.

I love the weather on the mountains like this, and so clear below!
Very nice picture!

I have enjoyed Joanna's pictures for a while. It looks like she has a talented other half also. I will start to keep an eye out for your work too.
ps My oldest daughter is named Joanna. She will be visiting soon with her husband. I'll take three days off of work. Her mom and I are excited.

Great shot and I really enjoyed your note on this one Greg. An interesting tale. Well done my friend!

Hi Grzegorz,

I love the compression effect of the far POV. It create some flatness ampified by the soft (and flat light). All togheter it give it a painting effect (the third dimension is kind of reduced) and I like it.
Good work and TFS.

Nic dodac, nic ujac, az by sie chcialo tam podjechac... ;)
