This is another sueprb capture from you!
Very nice to see the entire body of the woodpecker this time and also a bit more of the habitat.
Again here the sharpness is simply outstanding and it makes all those lovely details just "shine"...it's really very eye-plasing!
The exposure is also splendidly managed, and because of that, all the colros and tones came out wonderfully - i especially like the vivid red on the tail and head :)
All-in-all a brilliant shot, well composed and presented.

Hello Sergey,

What a wonderful capture! This is a perfect picture to start my day with! I was very pleasantly surprised to see your photo this morning. I can't really find anything to critique on your picture. Only to praise! Your composition is flawless with the tree trunk running along the right third of the image and the face of the woodpeaker positioned in one of the strong points of the picture. The subject stands out perfectly thanks to a beautiful, blurred background.
You managed the exposure with great skill preserving the details in both shadows and highlights. Focus is also accurate and the small aperture takes care of a perfect sharpness with no fall-off on the bird's body. The details are excellent in both the plumage and the tree bark, I could start counting the feathers if I wanted.
The colors are bright and beautiful and the black-white-red combination adds a great contrast to the image. The light is warm and very well handled, leaving no harsh shadows on the subject.
Another positive thing I would like to add is the perfect profile you've captured with minimum body parts of the woodpeaker overlaying the tree trunk. I appreciate the perfect silhouette being clearly readable against the OOF background. The woodpeaker lives in your picture thanks to this great catchlights in the eye.
In conclusion, your high quality photo is flawless from an artistical and technical point of view and is suitable for both admiring as a work of art and presenting as an educational material. This is the kind of pictures I would like to see on TN. Therefore your picture will decorate my favourites gallery. And because nothing is perfect, there's one thing that I would have liked you to add: a short description of this species. Congratulations on this masterpiece and thanks for sharing it with us!
