|Polyommatus icarus Male|
Here is the male to go with the fmale I pictured two days ago. I chose this picture simply because the vivd blue of the upperside is just visible on the left forewing, confirmning this to ba a male.
This is another hand-held, flash-lit shot with an underexposed (Vinny!) background. I quite like the way it lets the eye concentrate on the detail of the insect without being distracted by the surroundings, but would be pleased to hear the views of others.

You posted photo Polyommatus icarus taken in May 31 and I send the same species taken day later. Yours is perfectly sharp in vivid colours and nicely composed on dry stalk against dark blurred BG.
