[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Shot this Greenfinch at a bird hide that's local to where I live. I contructed a perch quite high so as to give me a sky blue background which is what I was after at the time.
Many people have commented to me that Greenfinches this year seem to be quite thin on the ground, I can't honestly say that I've noticed it myself, but I'd be interested to know if the population where you might live is lower than normal.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look.....Ade

etc etc. A magnificent image! Cheers ,Jacob

Hi Adrian

A lovely shot of the Greenfinch, nicely composed and a great POV and pose with the Blue Sky BG and the Spring blossom is an added bonus, nice sharp detail and lovely colours, I like the catchlight in the eye too. I have only ever seen one Greenfinch in my Garden, maybe not so common up North.

Welcome to TN

Hey there Adrian

There are so many good bird shots on here that sometimes I tend to just pass over them. However, this photo of yours really caught my eye.

First of all, I just adore how incredibly sharp and detailed this shot is. I can see every fine little detail and it looks amazing. If anyone ever wonders what these lovely little greenfinches look like, this is definitely a photo to see.

I really love how you constructed that perch allowing yourself to get a wonderful blue back drop. Good idea and it looks great. Overall, the colours look really good. Good job on the composition as well.

Fantastic work and thank you for sharing with us.

Hi Adrian,

Absolutely beautiful capture of this Greenfinch. Beautiful colors, details, pose and setting. A wonderful sparkle in the eye of this sweet looking bird.

Hi Adrian,
And what a neat image you are sharing...
Razor sharp...
I'm not an expert but I think the population is not lower here, on the contrary...it is a wild guess though.
