| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Taken in Queens Park, Crewe. The Park is supposedly undergoing improvements. So far all they have done is cut down dozens of trees, leaving birds and squirrels homeless. The lake seems to be treated like a giant waste bin. The worst of the rubbish always seems to gather near the bridge on the eastern side. The birds appear to be oblivious to it all. The lake is now fenced off, maybe they will actually do something about it. Though, knowing Crewe, as soon as the lake is clean, people will start dumping in it again. Its a sad and all too common sight. |

Hi Ian,
i find you photo quite poingant, as i think it represents mans general attitude towards the natural world at the moment. Your composition clearly shows the state of the area, with the Greylag Goose standing defiantly amidst the rubbish. Hope things improve there!
