[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Generations of spiders have loved this spot, its a little hole where a pipe goes through a skirting board and under the bath. They love to lurk there, often with just their front legs visible. It must be a good place for hunting, but I’ve never seen anything other than the spiders, I guess that must be because they’re good hunters. This one is pretty big, by English standards. I think, including the legs it must be about 80mm or 90mm across. I love spiders, so I’m quite happy to let them live and feed in the bathroom. I suppose my attitude towards spiders would be different if I lived somewhere like Australia, but here they’re nice and harmless :-). Looking at this one, I can’t help wondering what it eats though. Does it really need fangs that big, I mean, they‘re dragging on the floor! :-) |

Hi Ian,
I have a similar face-on shot here.
Great capture.
Well done,
Joey
