[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I just bought a new camera a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get back into taking proper photos instead of using my little compact digital. I found this website really inspiring and helped me make my decision, so I thought I’d contribute. This is my first attempt at wildlife photography with my new kit, took it out of my bedroom window first thing in the morning. Shame about that branch in the foreground, but if I’d have tried cutting it down, I think the bird might have flown away :-) |

Hi Ian,
Welcome to Trek Nature, I'm glad you were inspired by the site it had the same impression on me. You will meet lots of great people on here.
This shot is good, dull light but you have done well to get an interesting pose and good sharpness. The branch in the middle is a nuisance but unavoidable in your situation.
The D200 is a delicious, lots of amazing functions, I have had mine just over a month and love it to bits!
All the best
Simon

hi Ian,
très beau premier cliché, la point de vue est excellent, le sujet bien cadré.

Hi Ian,
you start with a fine picture, the composition is nice, pity about the twig in FG, it's a bit distracting.
The POV (Point Of View) and pose are good as well.
Well done.
Welcome to TN.
