[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have a set up for photographing Woodpeckers and Nuthatches, I have mounted a 1.5m length of Willow trunk, about 40cm diameter vertically on top of a bird table, I have a branch fastened across the top with feeders hanging from each end, one with peanuts the other with sunflower hearts. The birds always land on the Willow before going to the feeders, I usually have 3-4 seconds to get the shots and am having more luck with the Nuthatches at the moment.

Hello Steve, Great picture of the Nuthatch, good composition and DOF. Very colourful and good detail.Well done.

Technically perfect picture Steve.
Excellent composition and colour presentation. Well done. tfs. Stev

Very nice... typical nut hatch pose.

I was wondering how you got this superb shot at eye level, Steve.
Your note explains the clever technique used. Still, it is a marvellous shot, considering that the birds stay in this position only for the briefest of time.
Fantastic focus, clarity and colours.
The uniform grey BG is just perfect.
