Wonderful composition - I sort of see your point, but the sight lines created by the light reflected on the rocks overcome the central hill - in my opinion.

Hi Paul,
The centered hill doesn't bother me too much as it is the sunset that grabs the attention. The angled line of the hill and headland lead to the sunset. The light on the foreground rocks is glorious. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the over- saturating halo along the ridge top.

It's a wonderful sunset, romantic and balm for the soul of a nature lover. I especially like the fact that you show us a sunset without the direct appearing of the sun. This is much more pleasant to me and underlines the effect of that great lighting. Your composition, as usual, is perfect.

In general I'm not a great fan of sun set pictures, which easely look somehow kitsch. But the way you took your sunset is just amazing. What I like especially that you show in the foreground the reflection of the sun on the stones and the way the light is dispersed in your composition. A great bravo

Wow, This is amazing, Paul!
Well worth taking out of your archives to show us what a bit of Cornish coast can look like in a sunset.
Superb composition and perspectiveand despite the 1 sec exposure the waves look like sea waves. The different tones of reflected light on the cliffs and stones make this unique.

very very similar to cot valley and the view to cape cornwall...
excellent lighting and expostion of the rocks
the 1 sec hasnt done a lot for the dreamy effect you get on other shots but i appreciate the light was good and you used up your f capability
next time i get back to cornwall i will try to shoot cot valley beach as you have in the evening
will take the old slik with me

I think the composition is great, the shoreline cliffs lead us to that brilliant sunset. As for the glare I would have not noticed had you not pointed it out. This is and excellent image Paul and thanks for sharing.
