[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had been travelling on the Ratty Railway from Ravenglass to Dalegarth at the end of the line. Just after pulling into the station the swallow landed on the fence wire some ten meters from me. I just had time to take the shot before it flew off. The background is just the sun lit long grass in the field. I have cropped the shot by aprox half and added some sharpening. |

Hi Ian. Rich, well saturated colors. Nice details and especially good eye contact. Exposure is excellent and the blurred background is wonderful. I like that you can see the trademark forked tail of this bird. My preference would be to crop so that the subject is not quite so centered.
Hi Ian,
simply and beautiful, i like composition, colours and posture of subject, and BG. Just perfect.
All the best. TFS. Cezar T.
Hi Ian,A good opportunist shot with good catchlight in the eye and the background out of focus giving emphasis on the Swallow. Well done
