Hello Hilary,
When I take a face on shot of a bird it is usually not good enough to post, but this one of a Robin is great because of the rest of the body and the sharpness and details are excellent. I like your composition and the lighting is superb.
A nice and slightly unusual image of a Robin and TFS it.

I see we've both posted robins today. I don't think this is over exposed at all. I agree that the pose from the bird is really good, but the shot looks perfect, at least on my monitor. This shot looks so similar to mine, I wonder if you took it at the London Wetland Centre?

Don't apologise! For me, you could post robins for ever! But, I know what you mean, you feel as if you need to give viewers a change! There is great variety in the gallery!

I just love this! He is looking straight at you in the over-friendly way that robins adopt! Robins also have a very nonchalent way of holding their wings! They are gorgeously cheeky chappies!

Excellent details of texture and colour and good management of the light.
