Speckled Wood
Found throughout Britain and Ireland. Dark brown with creamy white patches on wings. Occurs in woodland, gardens and hedgerows. Butterflies often perch in sunny spots, spiralling into the air to chase each other.
The aptly named Speckled Wood flies in partially shaded woodland with dappled sunlight. The male usually perches in a small pool of sunlight, from where it rises rapidly to intercept any intruder. Both sexes feed on honeydew in the tree tops and are rarely seen feeding on flowers, except early and late in the year when aphid activity is low.

Its a pleasant capture of this gorgeous Cinderella, Mr.Bennett! How are you? I love the simplicity in this frame. Maybe a bit more depth of field can be good in order to cover the huge wingspan of the butterfly and perhaps some adjustments to the white balance ... in my opinion obviously...those greens here seems a bit too yellow perhaps. Agree?!
In the proposed workshop I've tried to correct those issues. What I did is firstly fixing the right wing out of focus issue, by copying and pasting the left wing which seems in perfect focus ;) ...then I added some blue and cyan to the image! Hope you like it Mr. Bennett!

Hi Les.
A good photo of this Speckled Wood nice details.
Cheers Dave.

Hello Les,
I do not find the workshop any improvement at all. It is rather more dull ans I shall comment on what I have in front of me...not try and tell the artist what he should have done. In fact, what the workshop did was to enhance your original image through its inferiority. The DOF is quite adequate and it is just a very pleasant image to view. Well done and best wishes.
