Well this was the scene on Saturday, just a few hours before storms hit the UK.
This is Ladram Bay, just inside Devon on it's eastern fringes. This little bay is a bit of a mission to get to, but is somewhere i have been meaning to visit for sometime. There are quite a few sea stacks dotted around this point and there are numerous different vantage points to wander around to view it. The light form the low sun made these beautifully coloured rocks almost glow.

A short peice from the Jurrasic Coast website:

Here the red rocks of the Triassic deserts are exposed as stunning coastal scenery carved by the present English Channel.

The sea stacks at Ladram Bay show each layer of the rock chiseled out by erosion. Each ledge provides a home for sea birds, safe from predators. In the last 10,000 years since the last Ice age sea levels have risen. Our coast reflects this, caves hollowed out by the sea become arches; these in turn collapse to form stacks. This is one of the most dramatic sections of the East Devon section of the Site.

Nice red rocks there! A polarising filter... in the evening with the sun low in the sky ... could be interesting!

you can say that again..roll on spring!! or i am back to spain in feb for a sabbatical and a top up..
i see a lot of panasonic shots here with the sharpness and clarity this has..hmmmm
apart from not being granite this reminds me a bit of the cornish coast
good pov with the vegetation in the foreground..otherwise those type of shots get a bit impersonal
