[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Goldfinches are highly coloured with a bright red face and yellow wing patch. Sociable, often breeding in loose colonies, they have a delightful liquid twittering song and call. Their long fine beaks allow them to extract otherwise inaccessible seeds from thistles and teasels.
This one was gathering groundsel seeds in the rain.

Hi Les,
very nice photo of this bird. Excellent point of view. Very good light conditions. Amazing colours. Nice composition.
Thanks for sharing,

Hello Les,
Very lovely bird, excellent clarity and colours, nice highlighted eye, very well captured,
Thanks for sharing and have a nice evening,
Best Regards,

Hi Les!
Great one! Perfect POV and DOF, crispy sharp with plenty of details (I like the most that furry something in his beak), natural, beautiful colors. I would cut a little bit more from the right, tough...
Anyway a very charming presentation of this tiny beauty!

congratulations for this impeccable capture Mr.Bennett! Good to see you back! ;)

Hi Les,

Superb capture of this Goldfinch my mate, amazing sharpness with fine detail, nice little catch lighted eye, lovely natural colours, great job well done,
Best regards Les and have a nice night,

what a good picture of this nice bird. fantastic colour and clarity.

Hi Les,
this vivid picture is very appealing to me. The bird is not simply sitting there but "doing something", looking for seeds. The composition is good, the background well blurred. For reasons unexplained I prefer the main object not to be right in the center, leaving more space in the direction of the head (it is not always possible to crop that way of course).

My best regards to you, Dietrich

Hello Les,
Always good when there is some activity as seen here in this beautiful image with its excellent quality. Very well done indeed.
